Goddard

Mikayla has been going to Goddard since she was 2.  She was one of the first students at this school as it opened the month she started.  We have been so happy with everyone we have encountered there.  But, today was her graduation and her last day there.  I am so happy and so sad for her.  It will be so sad not to see the wonderful people she has grown up with there.  But, it is exciting that she is moving to her next phase of life.

Her graduation was so cute.  Ms. Jennie (the director) teared up as she started her speech ad I started bawling from that.  The kids all sang two cute songs and received their diplomas.  After they were done, Mikayla wanted her gown off right away.  But, she flitted to all her friends to say 'hi'.  She also made a point, without my asking, to go up to each and every one of her teachers and principals and give them hugs.  I was so proud of her.

Gardening!

Putting a garden together, the only way Mikyala can do it!  She picked out her dress especially for gardening and then had to put the boots on to 'make the outfit'  Granted she thinks pouring water on plants is actually planting them, she was so proud to take part in putting together our vegetable garden.  

I can't wait for the veggies!

I wanna be like my sister

Josh loves his older sister soooo much!  He wants to be just like her.  While we were watching her practice for her recital, he had to get in on the action with the other girls.  Much less, he totally ran on stage during rehearsal and mamma had to run on stage to pull him off.  I'm sure those parents of those girls in that dance really appreciated seeing Josh on stage and then of course me.

Boy Crazy

Oh my! It's sort of cute right now but it has me concerned.  How is he going to be when she is a tween or teen.  Everywhere she goes, she i infatuated by a boy.  We went to a wedding last night, and there was an older boy, probably 6 or 7.  She was chasing him around and she was just devastated when he quit playing to sit with his family.   She was just bereft that he didn't want to spend all his time with her.

Then, this morning she was telling me her dream she had last night.  She said she was with 'Danield' the love of her life.  The were with each other and showing their love to each other and she was in love and was the happiest in her life.  OK, too many princess movies, I guess!  I'm not sure if Danield is someone she dreamed up or a friend of mine's son--who is about 10.  Yikes!

From School Today:

Mikayla's friend was looking for someone to talk to and Mikayla said "I'll talk to you"  Thanks for being a very nice friend.

I am so proud--but this is so Mikayla.

Pretty House

Mamma, I want to paint the house.  I want to paint it purple and pink.

Me:  Your room?  

Mik:  No, the outside.

I'm going to need a ladder.

Sick Baby

Nothing worse than a sick baby.Rash, fever, puke, and, diareah.  How fun!  Not!  But we did spend most of the day cuddled on the couch,  He just wants to be held.  I'm glad I'm able to do that
