Mik tried on her new swimsuit yesterday and I'm not sure if I should be worried. She put on her little high heels and was sashaying all over the place. Her hips went left and right. She kept posing with arm in the air. I felt like I was watching American's Top Model. I asked where she learned that and she said she just knew. (Yikes!) Then, she actually acknowledged it was from High School Musical. I think she has seen it once with her cousins and she is always quoting from that. You would think that she has seen it multiple times. Oh well, I think we have our hands full--the teenage years will be interesting.

Coffee for a Toddler?
Josh has always been very intrigued by my coffee. It's not that I drink a lot of it--but I always have my cup or so a day. (and most of the time I now drink coffee) So, I don't know if he is a coffee fiend like his dad or just likes all the stuff I add to it, lots of cream and sugar. But, even when he was younger, he would grab my cup and try to drink it.
So, today I was excited to get a iced coffee from DD. I got home and was looking forward to drinking it. I was bringing the groceries in from the car and next thing I saw was Josh knocking it down from the counter and spilling all over the floor. Awwww! There was nothing left. But, I then had a frappacino to make up for it and Josh grabbed that and was sipping away. It's funny that he is so intrigued by mamma's coffee.

Happy Easter

We did Easter in a small way this year, but I hope the meaning of the day was more evident.
We had friends over and made Resurrection Buns. These are buns that you put marshmallows in and let cook. The marshmallows represent Jesus and the bun is the cave. Once they are done, the marshmallows are gone, like Jesus from the cave. The girls had an Easter Egg hunt, and of course ate all the candy.
Easter morning we kept pretty low key. I filled the Easter baskets, but they were with little toys from the dollar store. I didn't want to overdo things, because hey! I don't have a job and income right now. But, mikayla was excited as could be when she saw the basket. She was thrilled--she ran into tell her daddy that the easter bunny had come and she would share her chocolate with him. She is now putting together her puzzle and having a blast.

Who Needs an Alarm Clock?
Who needs an alarm clock when you can wake up to this? MaMaaa! Ma Maaa! Ma Maaaaa! You probably get the point. The little one will holler at the top of his lungs (still happy I might add) until I come and rescue him. But, I think I need to be aware. When I made it in there (at 6:30 I might add, he had one leg over the gate of the crib) Well, there goes my life of luxury and sleeping in!
